UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) has launched its first environmental sustainability strategy, setting out its ambition to achieve ‘net-zero’ by 2040.
The strategy sets out the organisation’s priorities to lead the way in environmental sustainability across the research and innovation sector, following the UK government’s commitment to end the country’s contribution to global warming by 2050.
The University of Colorado Boulder (CU Boulder) Green Labs Program has completed this detailed case study on a Biochemistry Shared Cell Culture Facility, documenting avoided costs to research and other benefits resulting from 16 labs sharing a cell culture facility. A February 2018 article in Nature included a mention of the study and CU Boulder highlighted the impact of the case study in a CU Boulder Today article.
